What We've Done

Largest Student IT Conference in East Asia

Largest Student IT Conference in East Asia

Inspired the founding of SITCON x HK in Hong Kong and the Student Open Source Conference in Chongqing, and provides support to student groups and IT communities worldwide. More than half of new participants join each year, and alumni now work across the IT industry in Taiwan, the US, Japan, and the Netherlands, with many returning to support the community.

Meetups Across Taiwan

Meetups Across Taiwan

Continuously co-hosting meetups with local communities across Taiwan to provide channels for students to exchange knowledge. These events have partnered with universities such as National Taiwan University and Tamkang University, bringing together outstanding talents from the IT field.

SITCON Hour of Code

SITCON Hour of Code

Since 2014, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, we have regularly held Hour of Code events across Taiwan, sparking curiosity about the IT field in hundreds of children and students aged 4 to 16.

SITCON Hackathon

SITCON Hackathon

We held HackGen in 2014 and 2015, and in 2024 upgraded the event to the SITCON Hackathon. We aim for participants to learn ideation, planning, and implementation, helping society and businesses discover talented student teams.

SITCON Summer Camp

SITCON Summer Camp

Since 2014, SITCON has held a summer camp every July, making it easy for students interested in IT to get started and ignite their passion for open source. Both campers and volunteers are students. In addition to the main curriculum, there are open source talks, a community expo, and a World Café, giving students opportunities to not only learn but also exchange ideas and spark inspiration.
