Jam the Chaos
Humanities and Social Sciences Building
The script of our era has been torn apart, and the once-unified melody has scattered into fragments.
In this age of chaos, can we find our balance again?
As we stand in 2026, we—as students and people in tech—find ourselves at the crest of an era in flux. The rise of AI is challenging long-standing ways of building software, and the technical barriers that once defined our value are steadily falling away. When the power to create becomes democratized and individual technical skill can no longer be our moat, collaboration becomes our central challenge. We are moving toward a magnificent chaos: a search for balance as we co-create with AI, our peers, and partners across disciplines. But what if chaos is not an obstacle, but the beginning of a new equilibrium?
In an improvised Jam Session, there is no conductor. When the beat falls out of sync, we create a new rhythm together. When the harmony is imperfect, it becomes the voice of our generation—inclusive, bold, unrestrained, and alive with many voices. At SITCON 2026, we invite you to join this Jam. Let us navigate chaos, find rhythm amid disorder, and seek resonance through collaboration.
Founded in 2012, the Students’ Information Technology Conference (SITCON) is a student-centered conference initiated and organized by students. SITCON has long been dedicated to student IT education and the promotion of open source. It hopes to guide more students into the world of information technology and bring together students interested in tech to exchange ideas, pass knowledge forward, and inspire one another—putting into practice the spirit of learning by doing and teaching through sharing.
The script of our era has been torn apart, and the once-unified melody has scattered into fragments.

The timbre, beat, and character of the music emerge entirely from the performers’ interaction and shared intuition. That means the key is no longer to play the most beautiful solo; it is to become the kind of musician who knows how to listen, interpret, anticipate, and respond to every collaborator’s needs, creating value through interaction with partners of all kinds. Yet when we share the stage with AI, our peers, and cross-disciplinary partners—each a different musician in the same Jam—this performance will bring its own variations and challenges.
When we jam with AI, we must actively define the boundaries of collaboration. Over-reliance on AI can cost us deep thinking, while rejecting AI outright may cause us to miss a revolution in efficiency. As perhaps the last generation to learn programming “purely by hand,” we are searching for ways to keep the developer’s soul alive.
When we jam with fellow technologists, we must redefine what value means. The focus shifts from the depth of individual technical skill to the breadth of integrating collective wisdom. While continuing to sharpen our own abilities, we must also learn how to guide and listen, forging stronger consensus amid divergence.
When we jam with cross-disciplinary partners, we must take the initiative to become translators in a cross-boundary symphony. As information technology is no longer our exclusive domain, we translate our technical language into melodies that can resonate with mathematicians, physicists, designers, and artists, creating entirely new value together.
When the beat of the Jam falls out of sync, let us create a new rhythm together.
When the harmony of the Jam is imperfect, it becomes the voice of our generation—inclusive, bold, unrestrained, and alive with many voices.
At SITCON 2026, we invite you to join this Jam. Let us navigate chaos, find rhythm amid disorder, and seek resonance through collaboration.
